chosen for the love of God
There are many people with good qualities. But they aren't chosen.
He didn't choose the most brilliant. He doesn't look at the external things. He chose us because of our heart.
He chose us specifically with our vocation. Divine filiation. We are invited.
There's a price. The price is the blood of Christ. It's sacramentally real. We were bought at a great price. The resurrection comes at the price, that was paid on behalf of us. Even though we are nothing.
Success is when you cross the line to heaven. The vocation trains us to be successful. As such, we need to train well. With many failures and falls. But we get up and move forward.
God calls everyone but not all men accept salvation. Because of freedom. Freedom is mystery.
Few have the true doctrine of Christ even though many are called Christians.
We need to know the doctrine, know the truth.
Does it mean Christ has failed? No, Christ does not fail, even with freedom. If anything, we have chosen to fail.
You and I are co-redeemer.
The weeds and the good wheat. Let them grow together, don't pull prematurely. But at the time of harvest, we separate them.
Everyday, we must win our daily battles.. then when the time comes, we can win the war.
We must have the divine optimism. Optimism founded in christ. It's not presumptuous, not idle. It's reality. It's optimism based on hope in Christ. It's the optimism of the resurrection of christ. We only grasp part of reality. That reality we grasp may seem dark and dim, and we perceive it as the fullness of reality. But it's not! It's only part of reality of the bigger reality of truth and light. That's our reason of hoping.
The religious order has no progress. The summit has already been taken: Christ has taken it. There is nothing else to reinvent. That is why we must put Christ at the centre of our everyday activities. That is why JP2 says in order to know man, we must know Jesus Christ who is perfect God and perfect man.
We need to make Christ live in us.
Being Opus Dei, we need to be leaven in society. The leaven is always little, but it makes all the dough rise. It needs kneading by God and our personal holiness to be effective leaven.
The yeast acts slowly.. without haste. More haste, less speed. Don't kanchiong, but every move is prudent, deliberated, decided and most importantly, acted upon.
