false humility

Our father says not to give in to false humility. A lamp lot up cannot be hit under the bowl. It needs to be out on the lampstand

work and false humility

We see other peers doing exceptionally well, promoting, publishing papers, excelling, accolades. An there you are trying and struggling.  We may feel envy. But let us immediately wipe that away, and give thanks and truly congratulate him. Not to give in to false humility.  That others may be holier than I, provided I may becom as holy as I can .

are you a man of gospel?

What's a man of the gospel? 1. Read gospel daily 2. Know Jesus  3. Live the gospel  to contemplate our Lord in the Gospel. Saint Josemaría advised us to put ourselves into the Gospel scenes “as another person present there.” By contemplating Jesus we will gradually be transformed into Him, until we come to have his very own sentiments (cf. Phil 2:5). With God’s grace, our Lord’s deeds and words will come to our memory and our heart, and we will strive to follow in his footsteps under his loving gaze. To do so we will need to foster in our soul, with the help of the Holy Spirit, a sincere openness to the Word of God. Among other places, our Lord sends us this Word in the Gospel passage we hear at Mass, and this can serve to enlighten each day.

strive for excellence not perfection

Perfection is rigid, stifling, stiff, about externals, about results. Excellence is about the fruits. Aim for fruits, which takes years to cultivate. It's  about personality, and relationships. Not just about output or results. Excellence is about the means. A good professional that takes care of workers, teammates, motivate and encourage them. To bring Christ's touch in the work.  Not just a worker that works hard, but more than that, with creativity, with joy and perseverance, to live up the dignity of oneself and others.

freedom and love

If you have freedom, you can love freely. If you cannot love, you're not free.

you become what you love

Every person is what he loves. Love becomes like unto that which it loves. If it loves heaven, it becomes heavenly; if it loves the carnal as a god, it becomes corruptible. The kind of immortality we have depends on the kind of loves we have

work

To work efficiently and effectively. Finish your work well and fast, so that you can help other colleagues. Don't pretend to work or prolong your work when you can finish fast. Grab every opportunity for spiritual service. Serve your colleague! Sometimes you may be interrupted in your work, or even in your leisure activity either watching TV, or chilling, by your family members. Take every opportunity to serve.

Opus Dei supernumerary

From Potency of sanctity to Act of sanctity A vocation, not just a gentleman in a religious association. We are called to a life of perfection with a fullness of vocation.  A total dedication - in my family, my social circles, in my piety Your first apostolate is at home. St. Josemaria dreams of the home of supers to be bright and cheerful, centres for spreading the gospel and its message.  The formation OD gives leads you to appreciate the beauty of the family, the supernatural work entailed in forming a home and the fount of sanctification that lies hidden in your conjugal duties.

nothingness

I have nothing, I am nothing, I know nothing. He who is the least among you is the greatest.  There is no vanity in Jesus. He became small. A baby.  Self-love makes us impatient, uncharitable, intolerable to others.  Whoever receives a little child for my sake receives me

chosen for the love of God

There are many people with good qualities. But they aren't chosen.  He didn't choose the most brilliant. He doesn't look at the external things. He chose us because of our heart.  He chose us specifically with our vocation. Divine filiation.  We are invited.  There's a price. The price is the blood of Christ. It's sacramentally real. We were bought at a great price. The resurrection comes at the price, that was paid on behalf of us. Even though we are nothing.  Success is when you cross the line to heaven. The vocation trains us to be successful. As such, we need to train well. With many failures and falls. But we get up and move forward.  God calls everyone but not all men accept salvation. Because of freedom. Freedom is mystery.  Few have the true doctrine of Christ even though many are called Christians.  We need to know the doctrine, know the truth.  Does it mean Christ has failed? No, Christ does not fail, even with freedom. If anything,...
