obedience and human respect

God desires obedience compared to sacrifice. We tend to do a thousand of difficult things except the difficult thing that Our Lord asked. 

God sees things not as man see C.f. choosing David instead of the 1st son of Jesse, who looked the part of a leader. God sees not the appearance but man's heart.
