Movie: Sleepers
A movie of childhood being robbed by sin, by perversion, by man.
Of consequences in every action, no matter how unintentional the action may be.
Of a priest who knew his sheep, and seek every sheep lost. Of a father who sees the good in his children, a defender of children, who goes to abusive father and tells him, that if he were to ever lay a finger on the child again, he will make sure he has the same fate as that beaten up child (he tells the dad, when I beat you, you won't be needing a doctor, you'll be needing a priest, who will pray with you at your funeral... So I'll see you in church yes).
One who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty to protect his loved ones. Of a father who gives preaching not at the pulpit but during the dribbling of the ball at a basketball match. Of a man who instills confidence, who is not afraid to say I'm scared more than you, but do not run, because when you run, you have to run for the rest of your life. Face the consequences, and come back free. I'm here with you.
