St. Paul recalls that, “if God is for us, who is against us? ”. St. John also wrote that the Lord, foreseeing the events, said, “In the world you will have affliction. But take courage, I have overcome the world”. I could give you many more reasons, but this would tire you in vain and would not add an iota to the value or the strength of those which I have cited to you. One word from Christ is sufficient.

freedom

you are free, you have to answer for what you do ... and what you fail to do. The use of the gift of freedom, which has been given you so that you can love, involves supreme responsibility before God. The judgment of God or the particular judgment is no theory; it is not something we can choose or reject. It is an event which we all have to confront as soon as death warns us of her presence.
